When co-melodist Brian Butler left on a sudden quintet Quincy, the band changed the couple their name (to Lulu Temple) and their sweet-sounding direction (from pop to white-present wave-funk). When Brian's brother, guitarist Stephen Butler, followed Brian's effect and left Lulu Temple; the ~marize of ~ units rejoined forces and formed Smash Palace, a crunchy guitar band heavily influenced by British pop, the one and the other old and new.
